AVP Pilot Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 4, 2026

Pilot is published by Having Function. This Privacy Policy explains how Pilot handles information when you use the app.

What Pilot Does

Pilot lets you use an iPhone or iPad as a remote control for compatible Apple Vision Pro apps. It discovers compatible apps on the same local network and sends remote-control actions directly between devices.

Data We Collect

Pilot does not collect personal data from you.

Pilot does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email address, does not process payments, does not show ads, and does not use your data for tracking.

Local Network Access

Pilot uses Apple’s Local Network permission to discover and connect to compatible apps on nearby devices. This allows Pilot to find compatible Vision Pro apps on the same network and exchange remote-control messages with them.

This local network communication happens between your devices on your network. We do not receive, store, or sell this information.

Device Identifiers Used Locally

Pilot may create a random local device identifier so compatible apps can distinguish one nearby device from another during discovery and connection. This identifier is stored locally on your device and is used for local network functionality only.

Compatible Apps

Pilot only works with compatible apps that support the Pilot framework. Those apps may have their own privacy practices. Please review the privacy policy of any compatible app you use with Pilot.

Third-Party Services

Pilot does not use advertising networks or third-party tracking services.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data.

Data Retention

Because Pilot does not collect personal data, we do not retain personal data about you.
