AVP Pilot Help

Pilot lets you control compatible Apple Vision Pro apps from your iPhone or iPad.

Requirements

To use Pilot, you need:

  • An iPhone or iPad running the supported version of iOS or iPadOS
  • An Apple Vision Pro running a compatible app that supports Pilot
  • Both devices connected to the same local network
  • Local Network permission enabled for Pilot

Getting Started

  1. Open Pilot on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Allow Local Network access when prompted.
  3. Make sure your compatible Vision Pro app is running.
  4. Wait for the app to appear under Available Apps.
  5. Select the app to connect.
  6. Use the listed controls to start or stop available actions.

Troubleshooting

If no apps appear:

  • Confirm that your iPhone or iPad and Apple Vision Pro are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Confirm that Local Network access is enabled for Pilot in Settings.
  • Restart Pilot.
  • Restart the compatible Vision Pro app.
  • Check that the Vision Pro app supports Pilot.
  • Avoid guest networks or restricted office networks that block local device discovery.

If Pilot cannot connect:

  • Make sure the target Vision Pro app is open and active.
  • Move both devices onto the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Turn Wi-Fi off and on again on both devices.
  • Close and reopen Pilot.
  • Close and reopen the compatible Vision Pro app.

If controls do not appear:

  • The connected app may not have shared any remote actions.
  • Update both Pilot and the compatible Vision Pro app to the latest versions.
  • Disconnect and reconnect from Pilot.
